Bäumler Forster Studio, The Gap (2008)


This project is a twenty seven and a half metre triangular timber framed studio clad internally and externally in plywood and completed in February 2008.

It is located in the suburb of The Gap in Brisbane built into a leftover corner in the backyard of a small detached house. It addresses the back yard front on. It is a super-abundant urban artifact secreted into a suburban setting has both monumental presence and is assiduously craft reductive privileging buildability, affordability and material experience.
